"Last year, during an inspection in the Menzelinsk district, it was established that the customer applied an improper method for determining the initial maximum price of the contract, which subsequently led to an increase in the cost of lighting equipment, in some cases – by three times. And the excessive budget expenditures amounted to 2.2 million rubles," Yakupov stated. In the Vysokogorsk district, due to incorrect construction pricing, additional budget expenses also amounted to 2.2 million rubles – almost a third of the contract value, he noted.

      "As practice shows, measures are being taken to eliminate violations. In particular, unjustifiably received funds by contractors are returned to the budget, missing goods are supplied," concluded the auditor.
