The Kazan Kremlin will host the feast-performance "The Paper List."

      Audiences will be able to share a meal with the artists who sing these songs and tell stories about the poets. On July 15 and 16, the performance "The List of Paper" (18+), created by a St. Petersburg team led by director Konstantin Uchetel, will be shown in the historic building of the Kazan Kremlin's Presence Places as part of the Potanin Foundation's touring program "Cities. Museums. Stages." Esther Paper is a significant figure in the domestic culture of the 1920s: a translator, poet, editor, friend, and associate of many prominent figures of that time. Not long ago, an audio cassette was found with recordings of songs performed by her. This recording, made by Anatoly Alexandrov in 1984, captured the atmosphere of gatherings and meetings of the OBERIU group and their friends. In the 1920s and 1930s, such evenings were attended by Kharms, Vvedensky, Zabolotsky, Oleinikov, Marshak, Paper, and others. They played musical instruments, sang arias by Bach and Haydn, street folklore, folk songs, and ballads – the repertoire was incredibly diverse. Konstantin Uchetel's performance is a feast where the audience can share a meal with the artists who sing these songs and tell stories about the poets, their communal traditions, and how tragically their fates unfolded. The premiere of "The List of Paper" took place in 2025 at the "Haymaking" festival in the GES space on the Nerli River. The performance was created with the support of the Creative Community "MIRA," the "OBERIU Museum," and the "New Holland: Cultural Urbanization" project.
