      In Tatarstan, the forage harvesting campaign continues. As of today, 103 thousand tons of hay and 994 thousand tons of silage have been harvested in the republic, which amounts to 7.5 centners of feed units per one conditional head of livestock. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic Marat Zyabbarov at a meeting in the House of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, as conveyed by the press service of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexey Pesoshin. According to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture, out of the planned 299 thousand hectares of perennial grasses, 214 thousand hectares have been mowed, or 72% of the plan. The Muslyumovsky district has completely finished the first mowing of perennial grasses. The work in the Atninsky, Sarmanovsky, Kukmorsky, Chistopolsky, and Tyutyushsky districts is nearing completion. At the same time, in five districts of the republic, not even half of the planned areas have been harvested. "I appeal to the heads of agricultural formations: every day of delay in forage harvesting means a loss of nutritional value, leading to a decrease in productivity and an increase in costs for purchasing feed additives," emphasized Marat Zyabbarov. In personal subsidiary farms, 219 thousand tons of hay have been harvested, which is 32% of the need. Despite the challenging weather conditions, in 13 districts, the provision of feed for the current year has reached half of the required volume. At the same time, in nine districts, less than a quarter of the need has been harvested. The minister also reported on the preparation of agricultural enterprises for the harvesting campaign. The harvest in Tatarstan is planned to begin in the first decade of July. The first to be harvested will be the winter rapeseed crops, which are already reaching the ripening stage. The total area for harvesting winter rapeseed in the republic will be 37.4 thousand hectares.

      For the harvesting campaign, there are more than 3.1 thousand grain harvesters available in Tatarstan's farms. According to operational data, the readiness of the equipment for work is 90%.
