       Tatarstan will allocate 93 billion rubles for the repair and construction of roads in 2026. This year's funding will increase by 11 billion.

       In the Republic of Tatarstan, the total funding for the road program has significantly increased this year, reaching a record 93.1 billion rubles, which is 11 billion more than last year's figures, RBC clarifies. As reported on Monday at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan by the Minister of Transport and Road Economy of the region, Farit Khamifov, about 20.8 billion rubles will be allocated under the national project "Infrastructure for Life" for work on 154 facilities, and more than 1.5 billion rubles will be directed to 7 rural roads under the state program "Comprehensive Development of Rural Areas." The total amount of funds for the repair and construction of regional roads will be about 22 billion rubles for 187 facilities, over 11 billion will be allocated for 38 local facilities, and 18 billion will be allocated for the repair of the street and road network and the construction of overpasses. 21.4 billion rubles will be spent on roads in Kazan, 2.7 billion in Naberezhnye Chelny, and almost 1.9 billion in Nizhnekamsk. It should be noted that by the end of 2025, the amount spent on the repair of the street and road network set a previous record of 36.6 billion rubles. In total, 82.2 billion rubles were allocated for the repair and construction of roads in Tatarstan in 2025. It was previously reported that Tatarstan earned 6.5 billion rubles from beer excise taxes in the first five months of the current year, which is almost four times higher than revenues from strong alcohol.
