A regional full-cycle Film Laboratory has opened in Kazan.

      From June 28 to July 8, the capital of Tatarstan is hosting a regional Full Cycle Film Laboratory of the Regional Film Support Fund. Open screenings and public lectures have been prepared for the citizens. One of the key events is an open-air film screening on July 1 at 20:30 in the courtyard of the Kazan Kremlin's Presence Places. Admission is free. The audience will see three short films from the fund: "Quantum of Light" (about Kazan scientists), "The Thorny Path of a Young Poet," and "Budetlyane" (about people with mental disabilities). All three films create a collective portrait of the modern city through science, poetry, and human resilience. On July 2 at 11:00, at the Kazan Kremlin Museum-Reserve, director Nikolai Lebedev will give a lecture titled "Reality is the Fuel of Fiction" about how life becomes the basis of feature films. Pre-registration is required. The laboratory is an educational platform where regional filmmakers can combine theory, practice, and professional communication. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. Winners of the laboratory will receive additional points when applying for the fund's film competition next year.
