700 residents of a Tatarstan village from the 17th century gained access to quality communication and mobile internet.
In the village of Ash-Buzi in the Kukmor district, the coverage of the LTE network has been expanded. The new base station was installed by the operator MegaFon. Now mobile communication and the internet have become available for 700 local residents, as well as the population of neighboring villages. In total, the quality of digital services has improved for more than a thousand people. The village of Ash-Buzi is located on the Burets River, approximately 150 kilometers from the capital of Tatarstan. In historical documents, the settlement is mentioned from the late 17th century as Ashalcha-Buzi. Today, the village has a school, kindergarten, club, library, mosque, and retail outlets. "We continue to work together with operators to expand network coverage in the regions of the republic. It is important for us that residents in any corner of Tatarstan can comfortably study, work, receive government services, and stay in touch with their loved ones. Thanks to the launch of the new base station, more than a thousand residents of the Kukmor district have gained access to modern digital services," said Albert Yakovlev, the first deputy minister of digital development of the Republic of Tatarstan. Engineers from the operator built a communication facility operating in several frequency bands. As a result, it provides high-quality voice communication and data transmission not only within the settlement but also in neighboring localities, as well as on sections of highways within a radius of up to 10 kilometers. After the installation of the base station, mobile traffic in the village increased by 15%. On average, a subscriber from Ash-Buzi spends about 25 GB of internet. The launch of the communication facility has become a logical continuation of the program for network development in small settlements of the republic. Since the beginning of the year, the operator has built new infrastructure in the villages of Kukmor, Pestrechinsky, Laishevsky, and Zelenodolsky districts.
The work to expand network coverage meets the goals and objectives of the national project "Data Economy." Photo provided by the press service of the operator MegaFon.
