      An 84-year-old resident of Adygea died as a result of a monkey attack. This was reported by the regional investigative committee. In addition, the animal caused injuries to the 39-year-old grandson of the deceased. The incident occurred today in one of the private households in the Takhtamukay district. The owners were illegally keeping exotic animals, including primates of various species. The elderly woman, the grandmother of the animal's owner, opened the enclosure to feed the pets. As a result, one of the monkeys attacked the woman, biting her legs. The pensioner died on the spot. Furthermore, the animal attacked the 39-year-old grandson of the woman, causing him various injuries. The injured man was hospitalized. A criminal case has been opened regarding causing death by negligence.
