      In 2026, the electoral body of Tatarstan will be supplemented by 43 thousand new voters. This was announced by the chairman of the republican election commission, Andrey Kondratiev, at the opening ceremony of the information hub "Point of Choice" in Kazan. The role of this educational platform and ways to motivate young people to participate in voting were the subject of discussion at the Expert Club session. Associate Professor of KFU and political scientist Evgenia Khamrova pointed out that the republic systematically approaches the political socialization of the younger generation. In her assessment, the new info center effectively becomes another institution of civic education alongside family and educational institutions. The researcher emphasized that at this platform, teenagers have the opportunity not only to learn the details of electoral procedures but also to discuss the strategic future of the country they will manage in a live dialogue format with experts. Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Olga Pavlova emphasized that the first elections to the State Duma for yesterday's schoolchildren are not just a formal acquisition of constitutional rights, but also a moment of accepting personal responsibility for the fate of the region and the state as a whole. The public figure highly appreciated the focus of the electoral system on establishing direct contact with the audience. She noted that such projects effectively dispel myths about voting procedures and familiarize people with modern digital services. Pavlova is convinced that genuine interest in public life is formed exclusively through trust and openness. The head of the Tatarstan branch of the "Young Guard of United Russia," Ruslan Shigabudinov, called the launch of the "Point of Choice" an extremely timely initiative. The deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan believes that visual information formats help overcome psychological barriers and give young people the necessary confidence when participating in expressing their will.
