In the Republic of Tatarstan, half the cost of firewood will be compensated for participants of the Special Military Operation and their family members.

      In Tatarstan, it is planned to introduce a compensation of 50% of the expenses for firewood for participants of the special military operation and their family members. The draft of the corresponding resolution of the RT Cabinet is currently undergoing anti-corruption expertise. The document specifies that it concerns those living in houses without central heating or individual heating from gas heating devices and electric heating installations. Compensation will cover expenses for the purchase of firewood in an amount not exceeding 10 cubic meters per year per household. In addition to participants and veterans of the special military operation, as well as their family members, recipients of compensation should include those who participated in repelling armed invasions on the territory of Russia and armed provocations at the Russian border, former fighters of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (starting from May 11, 2014) along with their family members. Relatives may claim compensation not only in the event of the death of a serviceman or volunteer or their disappearance, but also in the case of their death after being discharged from military service, if it occurred due to injury or illness received in connection with participation in the special operation or the aforementioned other categories of combat actions. Compensation will be provided in the absence of any outstanding debts by the applicant for housing and utility services that have arisen over the past three years. Decisions on the provision or non-provision of compensation will be made by the branches of the Republican Center for Material Assistance (compensatory payments) at the applicant's place of residence. It is planned to start providing compensation from December 1 of the current year, 2026. Before that, the Ministry of Digital Development of the RT must ensure the refinement of the information system "Yardam," necessary for the implementation of this resolution.
