      The issues of implementing migration policy in the republic were discussed today in a roundtable format at the House of Friendship of Peoples of Tatarstan, the press service of the State Council of RT reported. The meeting was chaired by the honorary chairman of the State Council, the chairman of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin. Farid Mukhametshin noted that over the past two years, 27 federal laws on migration policy have been adopted. Currently, comprehensive work is underway to implement them and develop inter-agency cooperation mechanisms. "In particular, mechanisms for the operational exchange of data between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rospotrebnadzor, health authorities, and employment centers are being developed. The goal is to ensure continuous monitoring and eliminate 'blind spots' in the support of migration processes," Mukhametshin addressed the roundtable participants. According to the chairman of the Assembly, an important indicator of the effectiveness of joint work is the dynamics of violations of migration legislation. Cases of non-compliance with the deadlines for registration of migration and facts of employing foreign citizens without permits remain relevant. "Government authorities, including law enforcement structures, public organizations, and educational institutions in the republic must ensure strict compliance with the adopted regulations, as well as organize systematic work to explain them locally," Mukhametshin emphasized. Issues of social and cultural adaptation of foreign citizens remain under special control in Tatarstan. "The key link here is the Center for Social and Cultural Adaptation of Foreign Citizens, which implements a range of educational and training activities on a wide range of issues: lectures on the basics of legislation, rules of conduct in society, assistance in employment," he noted. Currently, there are over 93,000 foreign citizens in Tatarstan. Of these, more than 34,000 have a valid work patent. "I would like to note that in the field of labor migration, we consistently maintain a balance between the needs of the republic's economy and the necessity of upholding legality," the chairman of the Assembly emphasized. Mukhametshin set the task of strengthening preventive work with employers in sectors with a high share of foreign labor, as well as expanding the coverage of adaptation programs, including through outreach formats in municipal areas and large enterprises. The head of the executive committee of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan, Renat Valiullin, spoke about key changes in migration legislation over the past three months, including financial fees, support measures for foreign military personnel, and the digitization of accounting. Valiullin also touched on the humanitarian missions of national and cultural associations. In 2025, 20 passenger cars and 2 cargo KAMAZ trucks, building materials, medicines, generators, quadcopters, motorcycles, ATVs, welding machines, radios, warm clothing, cloaks, anti-fragmentation suits, heat guns, and food were sent to the special military operation zone. The total volume of assistance amounted to about 500 tons (approximately 80 million rubles). Thanks to the consolidated efforts of national and cultural autonomies of Greeks, Tajiks, Kryashens, Jews, Chechens, Ingush, Dagestanis, Chuvash, and the executive committee of the Assembly, the collected cargo will be sent to the special military operation zone. "I sincerely thank everyone who participates in this noble mission," Valiullin said.

      Representatives of relevant ministries, municipal formations, universities, national and cultural associations, and youth organizations of the republic participated in the roundtable.
