The rally in Naberezhnye Chelny is an opportunity not only to remember history but also to show how the ideas of the past continue to work in modern productions," notes Vasily Islaev, director of the Republican Center for Student Labor Brigades and deputy chairman of the Supervisory Board of Russian Student Brigades. The rally aims to pass on experience and maintain the connection between generations, showing how the labor traditions of the 1970s and 1980s continue today. A rich program has been prepared for the participants: theatrical performances about the construction of the plant and the city, excursions to KAMAZ plants – stamping-frame, engine, automotive, and foundry – familiarization with the infrastructure of the Zonal Headquarters, visits to memorial sites: the stela of the shock construction, the monument to the builders of "KAMAZ," and the wharf where Komsomol members arrived by the Kama River for construction. Naberezhnye Chelny became the center of the All-Union shock Komsomol construction of "KAMAZ" in January 1970. Over 10 years, more than 25,000 students from all over the Soviet Union participated in the construction. Today, the tradition of student brigades in Tatarstan continues: from 2024 to 2026, four stages of the All-Russian student project have already taken place at the automotive giant, and a fifth, anniversary stage will be held in the summer. Over four stages, students assembled 22,372 trucks, 19,881 cabins, and 11,920 engines. In the winter stage of 2026, 225 young people from 15 regions participated.
