In Tatarstan, as part of the "Clean Air" operation, 1,641 vehicles were checked.
Protocols for administrative offenses are drawn up for violators.
Since June 1, 2026, the Republic of Tatarstan has been implementing the operational and preventive event "Clean Air." The campaign is conducted as part of the national project "Environmental Well-Being" and aims to reduce the negative impact of road transport on the state of the atmosphere.
Raid activities are organized by specialists from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan in cooperation with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as with the participation of the Interregional Territorial Administration of Rostransnadzor for the Volga Federal District (the agency joined the inspections in 2024). Vehicles with gasoline, diesel, and gas engines are under the inspectors' scrutiny. As of now, 1,641 vehicles have been checked. Of these, 1,373 are passenger cars, 81 are trucks, and 187 are buses. According to the results of instrumental measurements, 21 exceedances of the permissible level of pollutants in exhaust gases have been recorded, which constitutes 1.3% of the total number of inspected vehicles.
The activities covered 14 municipal formations of the republic: Verkhneuslonsky, Chistopolsky, Buinsky, Nizhnekamsky, Aznakaevsky, Arsky, Leninogorsky, Tukayevsky, Mendeleevsky, Yelabuzhsky, Baltasinsky, and Tyulyachinsky districts, as well as the cities of Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan.
Inspectors conduct explanatory work with vehicle owners who have recorded exceedances about the necessity of complying with the requirements of legislation regarding air protection. Protocols for administrative offenses are drawn up for violators.
For reference: the "Clean Air" operation is conducted annually. Its main task is to reduce the level of atmospheric pollution from vehicle emissions. During the campaign, the technical condition of vehicle exhaust systems is checked, and the actual level of harmful emissions is measured. The key goals of the event are to identify violations of environmental standards, eliminate them, and increase the environmental literacy of vehicle owners.
Scheduled inspections on the roads of the republic will last until September 30, 2026.
