A ban on the export of diesel fuel has been introduced in Russia.
A complete ban on the export of diesel fuel has been introduced in Russia for market participants. The decision will allow for an increase in supply volumes to the domestic market, reported Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin and the Government. "Today we introduced a ban on the export of diesel fuel, and this will allow us to increase supplies to the domestic market," said Novak. Previously, the Russian government had issued a temporary ban on the export of diesel fuel for its producers. The restriction will not affect supplies carried out under intergovernmental agreements. Before this, the ban on the export of diesel fuel in Russia applied only to companies that are not its producers. After the decision was made, the restriction now applies to all market participants.
