      Almost 94,000 people used interregional trains running on the Gorky Railway between the capitals of Tatarstan and Mari El from January to June 2026. This is 34% more than in the same period of 2025, reported the press service of the Gorky Railway. — This result was achieved thanks to the increase in the frequency of one of the trains starting from January 1. Now, two trains run daily between the cities, and the travel time is less than 3 hours, the message states. From Kazan, they depart at 08:20 and 14:30, arriving in the capital of Mari El at 11:05 and 17:10, respectively. Back from Yoshkar-Ola, the trains depart at 07:39 and 17:45, arriving in the capital of Tatarstan at 10:19 and 20:50. Depending on the date and time of departure, transportation is carried out on a rail bus or in modern comfortable carriages with a locomotive at the head.
