On the morning of July 18, a solemn opening of the bust of the great Tatar poet, Hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil, took place in the Victory Park of Culture and Recreation in Omsk. The ceremony was attended by the governor of the Omsk region Vitaly Khotsenko and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. In a raised atmosphere, the regional leaders and representatives of the Tatar public laid flowers at the monument to the poet-hero and honored his memory with a moment of silence. The author of the monument is the honored figure of arts of Tatarstan Venera Abdullina, while the architectural planning and installation were overseen by the honorary architect of Russia Saken Khusainov.
