The State Duma plans to adopt in the second reading on July 21 a bill that will protect Russians from credit fraudsters. This was reported by Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin. The new law will require banks and microfinance organizations to immediately notify clients about the conclusion of credit agreements in their name. The notification will be sent via contact details or State Services within 15 minutes.
According to Volodin, this measure will reduce the risk of loans being issued to citizens without their knowledge. Since 2021, the State Duma has already adopted 18 laws aimed at combating fraudsters.
