KIU students participated in the all-Russian tourism festival "Mountain Friendship."

      Students of the Department of Tourism at Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov, Alina Yamayeva and Milena Mazitova, participated in the All-Russian tourist gathering "Mountain Friendship," having passed the competitive selection of the federal program "Student Tourism." The event was organized by the North Caucasus Federal University and took place in the territory of the Alania National Park. The program of the tourist gathering combined educational and practical blocks aimed at developing student tourism and preparing participants to create tourist clubs in their educational organizations. As part of the educational program, participants studied the basics of organizing tourist clubs and conducting tourist gatherings, as well as familiarizing themselves with modern approaches to the development of student tourism. The students of KIU participated in all thematic tracks of the event, including "Open Dialogue: Student Tourist Club 'Derzhavinsky'," "Media Coverage of the Tourist Club," "Opportunities of the 'Student Tourism' Program," and "Pioneers." The practical part of the program included radial hikes along the protected routes of the Alania National Park. Participants visited the waterfalls "Bayradi," "Three Sisters," and "Galdoridon," got acquainted with the natural heritage of the region, and took part in tourist activities. One of the traditions of the tourist gathering was evening meetings by the campfire, which facilitated the exchange of experiences and strengthened professional ties between students from different regions of the country.

      The tourist gathering concluded with the defense of team projects dedicated to the creation, development, and promotion of student tourist clubs at universities. The participation of KIU students in such educational projects contributes to the development of professional competencies, the exchange of best practices in the field of tourism, and the expansion of opportunities for international and interregional cooperation within the framework of the federal program "Student Tourism."
