Tatarstan ranked fourth among the regions of Russia in terms of funds attracted by small and medium-sized businesses in the fields of manufacturing, tourism, information, and communications using government support tools. In the first half of 2026, companies in the republic attracted 5.1 billion rubles, reported the SME Corporation, as conveyed by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan. More funds were received through the National Guarantee System, operated by the SME Corporation, by entrepreneurs in Moscow – 26.7 billion rubles, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region – 6.3 billion rubles each. Sverdlovsk region took fifth place with a result of 4.4 billion rubles. In total, in the first six months of 2026, small and medium-sized businesses in manufacturing, tourism, information, and communications attracted nearly 112 billion rubles in borrowed financing using the tools of the National Guarantee System. Support was provided as part of the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy." Various financing options allow entrepreneurs to implement investment projects, update production, introduce new technologies, and create jobs. This, in turn, forms the basis for sustainable economic development in the regions and the country. The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan, together with its subordinate institutions, provides comprehensive support to entrepreneurs. Business representatives in the republic can obtain microloans on preferential terms, guarantees, grants, and non-financial services within the framework of the national project.
