Covered ice arena and 134 km of roads: how the last five years have been remembered for Novosheminsk

      The results of the implementation of the people's program over the past five years, as well as key tasks for the near future, were discussed at the municipal forum "Working for Results!" held in Novosheshminsk. The main topics of the meeting included the development of social infrastructure, modernization of public utilities, construction of housing and roads, as well as support for participants of the special military operation and their families. The forum was attended by State Duma deputy Aidar Metshin, head of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan Timur Galeev, head of the Novosheshminsky district Yegor Tarnavsky, deputies, heads of enterprises and institutions in the district. Yegor Tarnavsky delivered the main report. He noted that over the past five years, thanks to federal and republican programs, the district has significantly updated its social infrastructure. During this time, 24 feldsher-midwife stations were built and overhauled, the building of the Zireklinskaya outpatient clinic was renovated, the major renovation of the Novosheshminsk gymnasium was completed, and the reconstruction of the Novosheshminsk secondary school is currently nearing completion. In addition, five kindergartens have been completely renovated. As part of the national project "Youth and Children," more than 700 million rubles have been allocated for the renovation of 19 educational institutions. Significant changes have also occurred in the sports sector. Five sports facilities have been built and modernized in the district, with a total cost of over 800 million rubles. The most ambitious project is a new covered ice arena costing over 600 million rubles, the construction of which is nearing completion. The year 2026 has been declared the Year of Comprehensive Development of Children and Youth in the district. In this regard, the youth center "Chishmale," the teenage club "Azhagan," and the children's health camp "Fakel" have been completely renovated. The update of cultural institutions has also continued. After major renovations, the district House of Culture, two rural clubs, two libraries, and two museums have reopened. In recent years, public spaces in the district have noticeably transformed. Fourteen parks and squares have been improved, and 13 courtyard areas have been renovated under the "Our Yard" program. The development of housing infrastructure is also ongoing. Over the past five years, 18,500 square meters of housing have been built in the district. The construction of two apartment buildings for orphans is nearing completion, and oil companies have built 12 individual houses for their employees. In addition, 13 apartment buildings have been completely renovated. As part of the modernization of public infrastructure, two kilometers of sewage and over five kilometers of water supply networks have been updated. Work on modern street lighting has been carried out in all 27 settlements of the district. A significant amount of funds has also been directed to road construction. During the reporting period, more than 134 kilometers of regional and local roads have been overhauled and built. The total funding amounted to 2.6 billion rubles. One of the most important areas of work remains support for participants of the special military operation. During the course of the special military operation, 193 humanitarian convoys have been sent from the district, 73 vehicles, 20 motorcycles, over 700 units of special equipment, and about 800 units of technical means have been provided. Families of military personnel receive assistance with firewood supply, housing repairs, water supply, and gasification. Summarizing, Yegor Tarnavsky emphasized that the achieved results have been made possible thanks to the support of the federal center and the leadership of Tatarstan. State Duma deputy Aidar Metshin and head of the Main Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan Timur Galeev also spoke to the forum participants. They noted that federal and republican programs allow for the systematic updating of social infrastructure and the creation of comfortable living conditions in municipalities.

      "Over 25 years, the republic has transformed from an industrial one into a high-tech one, while preserving a unique development model. And over these years, the Novosheshminsky district has become not just an agrarian territory, but a modern, well-equipped district with developed infrastructure," emphasized Aidar Metshin. The forum concluded with an open dialogue with residents, during which participants were able to ask questions and express proposals for the further development of the district. In addition, participants were presented with the project of the Electronic Honor Board of the Republic of Tatarstan, established by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
