In Chelny, a mural created as part of the Volga Federal District project "FormArt" will be ceremoniously unveiled.

      The Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov, and the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny, Nail Magdeev, will participate in the event. On Wednesday, August 5, a mural created as part of the regional street art festival of the Volga Federal District "FormArt" will be ceremoniously opened in Naberezhnye Chelny at the address: Shamilya Usmanova St., 87a. The fresco will become one of the notable creative gifts to the city for its 400th anniversary, reports the press service of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov, and the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny, Nail Magdeev, will participate in the event. The officials will apply the project logos to the mural, after which the work will be officially opened. The author of the mural is artist Alexander Popov. His sketch was recognized as the best among 96 competitive works submitted by participants from Tatarstan. The piece is dedicated to the continuity of generations and family values. The fresco depicts a grandmother and granddaughter preparing a national dish together. In this way, the artist aims to show how traditions, knowledge, and culture are passed down from the elders to the younger ones. National ornaments and symbols of the peoples of Russia complement the work. In the summer, project participants create competitive works in their regions, after which all murals proceed to the regional stage of the festival. Winners will be determined by public voting, which will be organized on the federal government services portal. Accordingly, it is the residents of the Volga Federal District who will be able to support their favorite works and choose the best murals of the season. The names of the winners of the regional stage of the festival will be announced in August in Kirov. The authors of the best works will receive grants ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles for further creative self-improvement.

      This time, the festival is held under the sign of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. A total of 400 applications were submitted for participation in the VII season of "FormArt" from all over the Volga Federal District.
