      The graffiti artist Alexander Popov presented to the mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev projects for painting urban objects. According to the author's concept, the main attractions of the city (KAMAZ, Khanov's sculptures, "tubeteika", the Jamig mosque, etc.) can decorate empty spaces. One of the key places for painting was named by the artist as the dam on Elevator Mountain with a view of the Gabdulla Tukay embankment. The idea was voiced at the opening of a new mural in the 44th complex – a work by Popov created as part of the regional street art festival of the Volga Federal District "FormArt". The art object depicts a grandmother and granddaughter in outfits with national ornamentation: they are preparing echpochmak. It took a week to create it. The new mural was opened today together with the Minister of Youth Affairs Azat Kadyrov. Subsequently, as noted by the head of the city, the painting will have lighting. – This so-called mural, which is essentially a work of art, a painting that decorated the house. I think it definitely did not spoil [the view]. And if you invite someone, tell your friends, neighbors, and colleagues who will come to visit you: "Orient yourself to the house, on the end of which beautiful grandmother and granddaughter with echpochmak are painted," Magdeev addressed the residents. – Looking at this painting, everyone feels the warmth of family, relatives, and loved ones. I looked at it and also remembered my grandmother, who baked delicious treats. I also visited my grandmother in the village. I have never eaten tastier pies, echpochmak, kystyby, or fragrant bread. The tastiest bread is from grandmother and mother. Voting for Popov's mural as part of the regional stage of the "FormART" festival starts today. The names of the winners will be announced in August in Kirov. The authors of the best works will receive grants ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 rubles for further creative development. The festival received 400 applications from across the Volga Federal District, of which 96 were from Tatarstan.

      As for Popov's new idea, it is still at the sketch stage: a separate meeting with the artist is planned at the executive committee to discuss the details.
