      In Kazan, employees of the operational department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the operational department, and the security department of correctional colony No. 19 thwarted an attempt to deliver drugs to the institution. During the implementation of operational information, a search of a package addressed to one of the convicts revealed, with the help of a service dog named Ranetta, a powdered white substance cleverly hidden inside the casing of disposable razors. The conducted examination showed that the powder is narcotic substances "mefedrone" (0.11 grams and 0.50 grams) and "hashish" (with a total weight of 1.98 grams). The package was intended for a 43-year-old convict serving a sentence under part 4 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The man who brought the prohibited package was detained and taken to the police department. A criminal case has been initiated.
