In Tatarstan, 2.6 million square meters of housing have been introduced since the beginning of the year.

      Since the beginning of 2026, 2 million 618 thousand square meters of housing have been put into operation in the Republic of Tatarstan. The overall annual plan for construction programs has been completed by 83%. This was reported by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Utilities of the Republic, Marat Aizatullin, at a meeting in the Government House of Tatarstan chaired by the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov. The largest volumes of commissioning have been recorded in the individual housing construction sector, where 1 million 652 thousand sq. m have been completed, which is 84% of the plan. Within the framework of commercial construction, work has been completed on 99 apartment buildings with a total area of 875 thousand sq. m (84% of the annual plan). Under the social mortgage program, the annual plan has been fulfilled by 60%: 34 houses with an area of over 90 thousand sq. m have been built.

      Programs for providing housing to specific categories of citizens

      During the meeting, the active fulfillment of social obligations was noted:

      Orphaned children: 641 individuals are to receive housing. State contracts have already been signed for the purchase of 195 residential units in 45 under-construction buildings.

      Large families: 22 families raising five or more children have received certificates. 14 families have already realized them for a total area of 1543 sq. m.

      Young families: 61 certificates for the right to a subsidy have been issued. 46 families have already purchased housing.

      Resettlers: Three families among the forced resettlers from the Far North and participants in the liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster are also awaiting improved housing conditions. Two families have already bought apartments.

      Development of social and engineering infrastructure

      Alongside housing construction, active work is underway in the republic to create accompanying infrastructure:

      Social facilities: The construction of general education institutions has been completed by 87%, and preschool institutions by 68%. In Kazan, the construction of an outpatient diagnostic department of the hospital continues (57% readiness).

      Landscaping: This year, 51 public spaces will be updated. Work is ongoing in 45 areas across 36 municipalities (readiness — 52%).

      Engineering infrastructure: Network modernization is taking place within the framework of six republican and two federal programs. Work to provide the population with drinking water has been completed by 70%, and the reconstruction of gas networks is nearly finished (97%). In the field of ecology, the reclamation of sludge fields in Kazan continues, where 95% of the planned work has been completed.

      "We see a comprehensive approach to the development of territories: housing construction is inextricably linked to job creation, the construction of schools, kindergartens, and the modernization of utility networks," emphasized the President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, summarizing the meeting.
