The Kazan Kremlin is preparing for a large-scale renovation: 174.4 million rubles will be allocated for the repair of historical buildings, landscaping of the area, and modernization of engineering systems. According to the state contract, the work will cover key sites such as the Annunciation Cathedral, Kul Sharif Mosque, the Archbishops' House, the Palace Church, the Cannon Yard, and the Meeting Places. The largest part of the budget, 80.85 million rubles, will go towards replacing coverings throughout the complex, including granite slabs, paving stones, ramps, and the drainage system. Funds are also planned for updating the staircases of the Kul Sharif Mosque, landscaping near the Annunciation Cathedral, and repairing the Archbishops' House. Among other important works are the modernization of the video surveillance system, installation of checkpoints, and repair of public toilets.
