      In Bolgar, the All-Russian Physical Culture Day was celebrated. Due to weather conditions, all events took place in the "Olymp" sports complex.       Addressing the participants of the celebration, Roman Islanov noted that the Spassky district has always been sporty: "When I was in school, I remember how our volleyball players, the older ones, traveled almost all over the republic to play, and there were definitely no equals to them. Our football players also achieved very serious victories at the republican level. Therefore, our level of love for sports is very high." The head of the district thanked the republic's leadership for the built sports complex, the swimming pool, where both children and pensioners train, and spoke about plans: "Plans include the construction of a stadium. Unfortunately, this year there are some issues with funding, so it has been temporarily suspended. Today, document adjustments are being made, and we very much hope that a decision will be made soon, and the stadium will be completed in 2027." Another large-scale project is the construction of an ice palace: "We found an opportunity to build an ice palace right in the city limits. Today, we have many hockey enthusiasts, but there is not always an opportunity to train. We hope that in the near future, we will have good conditions." Roman Islanov also touched on the topic of developing skiing: "Our district has always been famous for skiing. There are veterans here who have raised masters of sports of Russia, and I am very proud of this. We want to complete the construction of the ski track behind Kul Gali. Specialists have looked at it — the track is good, lighting needs to be installed, and a ski base needs to be set up. And here, at Mochilki, amateurs will ski so they do not interfere with the athletes." The head of the district noted that judo and sambo will continue to be developed in the district and promised support for young coaches: "In order to support and attract coaches, we need to update the regulatory framework. We are focusing on young teachers, cultural workers, and, of course, physical culture and sports workers. Vacancies and housing are needed. We already have positive experience. We are already providing rental housing for doctors, and today the central hospital is 89% staffed — this is a very high indicator."

      

       Concluding his speech, Roman Leonidovich congratulated veterans and all those present on the holiday and promised to continue improving not only the city but also the villages: "We will continue to work in the villages — repairing sports halls, installing playgrounds. We need to update the sports development program. It should include proposals from activists, veterans, and coaches so that we can find common ground."
