About a million residents of Tatarstan underwent health check-ups and medical examinations.

      In Tatarstan, over the course of seven months this year, 954,637 people have undergone preventive measures and health screenings, reports the Ministry of Health of Tatarstan. The health screenings are conducted free of charge as part of the national project "Sustained and Active Life." "The state guarantees free annual examinations for individuals over 40 years old, and for those aged 18 to 39, once every three years. Health screenings have great potential in detecting serious diseases at early stages," noted the Minister of Health of Tatarstan, Almir Abashev. Approximately 300,000 people, or 31.2% of those examined, were referred for further testing. This year, more than 40,000 diseases have been identified for the first time, with 75% of them placed under medical supervision. Among the newly identified diseases, circulatory system diseases lead at 30%, followed by digestive system diseases at 12.4%. As a result of the health screenings of the adult population, 679 cases of malignant neoplasms were identified for the first time, with 78.2% of them at early stages. It is worth noting that health screenings can be conducted on Saturdays and in the evenings. To attract patients, medical professionals use various communication channels, including phone calls, SMS reminders, social networks, and conduct door-to-door visits to monitor those invited and those who showed up. Doctors recommend paying special attention to preventive measures for individuals with a combination of several chronic diseases, those suffering from circulatory system diseases, oncological diseases, as well as individuals who have not visited a medical institution for a long time (2 years or more). Health screenings are available even in remote areas of the republic thanks to five mobile units: they are assigned to the Chally City Hospital No. 5, the Almetyevsk Interdistrict Multidisciplinary Hospital, Kazan City Hospital No. 7, the Republican Clinical Hospital, and the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center. The units are fully equipped with the necessary equipment, and examinations and basic tests are conducted by qualified specialists.
