In the club's Telegram channel, a picture appeared with the current logo and a masked new one. The name is not yet revealed, but an announcement is promised soon. Meanwhile, in the Super League calendar for the 2026/27 season, published by the handball federation, the Kazan club is listed as "Ak Bars," while "Zilant" is absent.

The team returned to the elite division after winning the Higher League in the 2025/26 season, taking the place of the relegated "Skif." The first match of the new season for "Ak Bars" will be held on August 31 in St. Petersburg against "Zenit."
