Maganov: TATNEFT's reserves will last for hundreds of years

      The oil reserves being developed by "Tatneft" may last for hundreds of years. This was stated by the company's CEO Nail Maganov to the president of the "Global Energy" association, Sergey Brilev, as reported by the news agency "Vesti." "All processes will be aimed at extending the life of oil as long as possible, making these processes more and more efficient. I think [the reserves] will last for hundreds [of years]. Ten would be too wasteful and wrong," said the head of "Tatneft." Earlier, Maganov stated that "Tatneft" is ready to increase oil production if the exporting countries make the appropriate decisions. According to him, the company has the necessary production capacities and technical capabilities to increase output.

      As of the end of 2025, "Tatneft" increased oil production by 2% to 27.83 million tons. The company is among the largest oil-producing enterprises in Russia. The main shareholder of "Tatneft" remains Tatarstan, which owns 34% of the shares.
