As part of the federal project "Protection against floods and other negative impacts of water and ensuring the safety of hydraulic structures," work has been completed on the clearing of the Bulatka River near the village of Nurlaty in the Zelenodolsk district. The project started in 2025. Over two years, work was carried out to remove bottom sediments and level the slopes at the water body. Additionally, in areas where erosion was observed (the destruction of rocks and soils under the influence of flowing water), a stone embankment was laid. As a result of the completed work, a section of the river with a length of 1.72 km has been cleared. More than 450 local residents have received protection from the negative impact of floodwaters.
