The Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office conducted an inspection of the enforcement of legislation on combating corruption.

      The Kazan interdistrict environmental prosecutor's office conducted an inspection of the implementation of anti-corruption legislation. It was established that a former civil servant of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, using his official position and by misleading representatives of two enterprises, received from them monetary funds in the amount of 300 thousand rubles in June 2024 under the pretext of not taking responsive measures for violations of environmental legislation. In violation of anti-corruption requirements of the legislation, this civil servant, who entered into a conflict of interest, resigned voluntarily. ⚠In this regard, the environmental prosecutor appealed to the court with a request to impose on the regional authority the obligation to change the grounds and wording of the dismissal to termination due to loss of trust for committing a corrupt crime. The Privolzhsky District Court of Kazan fully satisfied the demands of the environmental prosecutor. Earlier, by the verdict of the Naberezhnye Chelny City Court of the Republic of Tatarstan, the individual was convicted under part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, part 3 of article 30 and part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
