The agreement is signed for two years with the possibility of further extension. Belyaev expressed hope that during this time, the relationship between the municipalities will strengthen and yield concrete results. The mayor of Santa Barbara do Tuguriyu, José Antônio Alves Donato, noted that the agreement will create new connections between Russia and Brazil.
