       The Republic of Tatarstan has confidently secured a place in the top ten Russian regions for the share of employees whose salary exceeds the average Russian figures. According to the results of a recent study conducted by analysts from RIA Novosti and published on Monday, August 17, the average salary across the country reached 108,000 rubles. According to analysts, in Tatarstan, 38.9 percent of all officially employed workers in the republic earn above this threshold. This high figure allowed the republic to take 10th place in the national ranking. The undisputed leader in the share of high-paid specialists is the resource-rich Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where this figure reaches 65.8 percent. The top five also includes Magadan Region, Chukotka, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and Yugra. Analysts explain the inclusion of Tatarstan, Moscow, and St. Petersburg in the top ten by the fact that these regions serve as key financial, industrial, and intellectual centers of the country. It is worth noting that earlier this year, Tatarstanstat published aggregated statistics for the republic, indicating a recorded growth in the average monthly salary of 16.5 percent. A few days ago, it was reported that the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan entered the top five Russian megacities where experts recorded the most noticeable increase in the price of finished housing as of July 2026. As noted in the material from the publication "RBK Real Estate," one square meter on the secondary market in Kazan increased in price by 1.4 percent over the month, reaching 238,600 rubles.
