       In the Republic of Tatarstan, the implementation of a large-scale and extremely important program for the modernization of the road network continues in the current year 2026, for which over 20 billion rubles have been allocated from the budget.

       As reported on Thursday, August 20, by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Tatarstan, within the framework of this program, major repairs are currently underway on 43 asphalt-covered road facilities, 43 facilities with transitional types of coverage, 43 streets and passages in populated areas, as well as large-scale work on 912 road network facilities across all municipal entities of the republic. By the end of the year, it is planned to bring more than 1273 km of local roads into compliance, and at the moment the completion of work stands at 55%. The Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Management of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ranis Faizullin, emphasized that the main task of the program is not just to repair kilometers of pavement, but to improve the quality of life in each municipality and ensure convenient and safe movement throughout the republic at any time of the year. In addition, as part of the main program, the construction and reconstruction of local roads with a length of 44.4 km, repair of 12 km of access roads to garden societies, 5 km of access roads to farms and livestock complexes, as well as 2 km of access roads to children's and youth recreation and health institutions are planned. The total funding for road works in 2026 amounts to over 90 billion rubles. The total length of local roads reaches 25,523 km. Recently, it was reported that Tatarstan wants to create a special zone for the development of drones.
