Their compact designs allow for the launch of munitions in large swarms, leading to rapid saturation of the enemy's multi-channel radar systems. As a result, defensive complexes expend scarce and expensive munitions on secondary targets, opening corridors for more powerful strike assets. "Mass production of cheap and accurate cruise missiles (like 'Banderole') is the key to guaranteed penetration of any air defense. Iran's experience has proven: even the most powerful missile defense is powerless against a massive salvo," said analyst Andrey Medvedev. The main tactical value of such missiles lies in exhausting air defense resources and disorganizing the operations of operators of Western-style anti-aircraft systems. The use of inexpensive light carriers forces the enemy to expend missiles from Patriot or NASAMS systems, the cost of which is incomparable to that of the attacking units. This creates a critical imbalance in the supply of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, steadily reducing the overall interception effectiveness in strategic directions. "Light missiles have already confirmed their effectiveness against any unprotected targets, equipment, and personnel. Launching from any carrier ensures the element of surprise, which is critically important for destroying mobile objects," explains Medvedev.
