Tatarstan has entered the top 5 regions of Russia in terms of government support for the tourism business.

      The Republic of Tatarstan has become one of the leaders among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of state support aimed at developing the tourism industry.

      As reported by Vesti Tatarstan, small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in tourism received over 220 million rubles in the first half of 2026, allowing the region to rank fourth in this indicator in the country. The top five leaders also included Moscow, Sverdlovsk Oblast, St. Petersburg, and Moscow Oblast. Alongside the increase in funding, the flow of tourists is also rising. From January to June 2026, Tatarstan recorded 1.5 million tourist trips, which confidently placed the republic among the most visited regions of Russia. Overall, the tourist flow in the country increased by 4.3%, reaching 43.2 million trips, while the number of foreign guests rose by 20.1%, exceeding 2.5 million visits.

      For small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the tourism sector, a comprehensive set of financial and non-financial support measures is currently in place. In particular, preferential microloans, guarantees from the Guarantee Fund, and "umbrella" guarantees from the SME Corporation are available. Additionally, entrepreneurs are provided with non-financial tools: support at specialized exhibitions, co-financing of projects, assistance in certification processes, and consulting services at the "My Business" center.

      Let us remind you that on August 30, Kazan will celebrate the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan. This year, the celebration promises to be particularly large-scale: festive events will unfold across dozens of city venues. Residents and guests of the capital can expect concert programs, festivals, sports competitions, fairs, and the celebration will conclude with a traditional fireworks display.
