An inclusive medical center will operate in a new building of the Yardem rehabilitation center, located on Serova Street. Construction work is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
The charitable foundation "Yardam-Pomoshch" plans to open a modern inclusive medical center for newborns with disabilities in the republic's capital. According to the foundation's press service, the medical center will specialize in providing care to infants at an early stage of development, as well as conducting training courses for parents on the specifics of caring for children with disabilities. The center will be located in the new building of the Yardem rehabilitation center on Serova Street.
The project was discussed by participants of a round table dedicated to early rehabilitation and habilitation of children. The event was attended by State Duma deputy Ayrat Farrakhov and Kazan City Duma deputy Malika Gilmutdinova. "The implementation of innovative developments will contribute to reducing the rates of childhood disability," Farrakhov said.
Specialists emphasize that if help is provided in the first 200 days of life, there is a chance to prevent disability in 30% of children. The new center will have a team of doctors, psychologists and educators who will help not only the infants but also their parents. As Malika Gilmutdinova noted, the birth of a child with disabilities can often be a severe test, especially for young parents. The deputy particularly stressed that at such times support is very important, as it helps parents adapt and learn to build their lives with a special child.
The Yardam-Pomoshch foundation has been supporting families with children with disabilities for many years. It runs rehabilitation programs, summer camps, therapeutic physical education and creative classes. In addition, people come here for psychological, legal and medical assistance. Over the 12 years of the foundation's work, around 45,000 people with disabilities and their family members have received assistance.
