Putin has arrived in China: he will hold talks with leaders of more than 10 countries.
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has arrived in China on an official visit. The head of state will attend a military parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II and will take part in the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). It will be held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. In Tianjin, Putin was greeted with a red carpet and an honor guard. During his visit to China, the president will travel around the country in an Aurus car with Chinese license plates. Putin has already left the airport in it.
The Russian leader is expected to participate in a meeting in the "SCO Plus" format (leaders of member states plus heads of observer countries and dialogue partners).
Putin also has a number of meetings planned with leaders of other states. In particular, he will negotiate with the presidents of Turkey and Iran, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Masoud Pezeshkian, and with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. In total his visit will last four days.

The Russian leader will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Defense Andrey Belousov, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin, and Assistant for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov.
According to the latter, Putin will inform Xi about his contacts with U.S. President Donald Trump. In addition, a trilateral meeting with Xi, Putin and the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, is expected. Besides that, Putin is expected to hold bilateral meetings.

Note that Trump is absent from the list. Also, there are no plans for a meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, although Ushakov allowed for a meeting if agreed.
Putin is accompanied on the trip by three vice-premiers — Denis Manturov, Alexander Novak, Dmitry Chernyshenko. In addition, the leader's team includes the Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov and more than 10 ministers: Mikhail Degtyarev (Minister of Sport), Oksana Lut (Minister of Agriculture), Olga Lyubimova (Minister of Culture), Mikhail Murashko (Minister of Health), Andrey Nikitin (Minister of Transport), Maxim Reshetnikov (Minister of Economic Development), Anton Siluanov (Minister of Finance), Sergey Tsivilev (Minister of Energy), Alexey Chekunkov (Minister for the Development of the Far East).
