Rustem Galiullin has been appointed CEO of Tatknigoizdat.

      Rustem Galiullin, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Kazan Utlary," has become the general director of the Tatar Book Publishing House, replacing Ildar Sagdatshin, who left the post in mid-August. This was reported to Tatar-inform by the press service of Tatknigoizdat.

      Rustem Gosmanovich Galiullin was born on November 26, 1987. He graduated from the Faculty of Tatar Philology and History of Kazan State University. Candidate of Philological Sciences. Member of the Union of Writers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the International PEN Club. Laureate of the Musa Jalil Republican Prize in the field of literature.

      Author of books: in Tatar — "Gipnozchy malay" ("The Hypnotist Boy," 2008), "Yullarda jil ak ide" ("On the roads the wind was white...", 2012), "Vasyat" ("The Testament," 2017), "Bish 'ikele'" ("Five 'Twos'," 2020); in Russian — "Odinchestvo" (Moscow, 2013) and a monograph ("The Works of Tawfiq Aydi: system of images and genre typology," 2016, IYALI AN RT); in Bashkir — "Gipnozsy malay" (Ufa, 2021); in Azerbaijani — "Ata və oğul" (Baku, 2020). The stories "Ata häm ul" ("Father and Son") and "Divana" ("The Oddball") were included in the Anthology of Contemporary Prose of the Peoples of Russia. Compiler of the four-volume "Selected Works of T. Aydi" (2016).
