The United Kazan State Agrarian University celebrated Knowledge Day at a new venue.
On Knowledge Day, September 1, the ceremonial opening of the academic year was held for the united Kazan State Agrarian University. For the first time the festive assembly took place on the grounds of the institute "Kazan Academy of Veterinary Medicine named after N.E. Bauman", which became part of Kazan GAU. The celebratory event at the institute's stadium was accompanied by music, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity.
The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan — Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov; acting rector of FSBEI HE "Kazan State Agrarian University" Ilshat Nuriev; director of the Tatarstan branch of JSC Rosselkhozbank Lyalya Kudertmetova; deputy head of the Chief Veterinary Department of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Nugumanov; and other officials.
The ceremony began with the raising of the state flags of Russia and Tatarstan, symbolizing the importance of the solemn moment. Acting rector Ilshat Nuriev addressed those gathered with warm words of congratulations and presented personal scholarships to the best students.
The Deputy Prime Minister of the RT, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov, particularly noted that the merger of the three universities expands opportunities to participate in federal grants and programs, and he also awarded outstanding students.
"Your university plays a key role in the development of the region's agriculture, providing the sector with talented specialists capable of implementing innovative technologies and solving complex problems. I am confident that under your leadership, Ilshat Gabdelfartovich, Kazan GAU will continue to strengthen its position in the educational space, remaining a flagship of agricultural education in Russia," the minister said.
The director of the Tatarstan branch of Rosselkhozbank, Lyalya Kudertmetova, presented bank-funded scholarships to talented students and reminded people of the upcoming election of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, which will be held on September 14.
Representatives of the ministries of ecology, veterinary medicine, forestry and agribusiness also took part in the ceremonial segment. All speakers emphasized the importance of vocational education and science for the development of the republic's agro-industrial complex.
