By completing tasks together with the curious Barsik and his classmates, young readers save Tatarstan from the mischief of the nasty Klyaksus, teach him to be kinder, to treat the region’s sights with care, and to value friendship. The book was traditionally presented at school assemblies by employees of Ak Bars Bank. The "Gift to a First-Grader" project has been implemented since 1997 and is a vivid example of the bank’s commitment to the ESG agenda. Since the organization adopted its sustainable development strategy for 2022–2026, this direction has become especially important.
