How should plant and construction waste be properly disposed of after the gardening season?

      With the end of the garden and vegetable-plot season, many residents face the need to clean up their home and dacha plots. We remind you: placing construction materials, branches, leaves and other plant residues on sites intended for the collection of solid municipal waste is strictly prohibited.

      What is MSW?

      Bulky waste (furniture, household appliances, waste from ongoing repairs — linoleum, glass, scraps of wallpaper, frames, door frames, plumbing fixtures, etc.) These must be placed next to the container

      What does NOT belong to MSW?

      Construction waste (concrete, reinforced concrete, wooden floorings, broken bricks, cement, cement-based tile adhesive, broken roof tiles, broken ceramics, ceramic pipes, offcuts and scraps of drywall sheets, putty, plaster, polymer tiles, etc., as well as waste from demolition and dismantling of buildings)

      Horticultural, gardening and livestock waste

      Mercury lamps

      Used batteries and accumulators

      Car tires

      Ash and coal slag (the regional operator will remove ash provided that it is cooled, tightly packed and placed next to the container. Otherwise there is a risk of fire)

      These must be placed next to the container

      Homeowners are obliged to organize the removal of such waste themselves. This can be done by signing an additional contract with the regional operator or another specialized company, for an additional fee.

      Plant waste can be put to good use — recycle it into mulch or compost.

      Please note that unauthorized dumping is punishable by a fine for individuals in the amount of 2,000 to 3,000 rubles (Article 3.6 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Republic of Tatarstan). For repeated violations — 5,000 rubles.
