The Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, said at the Eastern Economic Forum that President Vladimir Putin is familiar with contemporary youth slang thanks to having grandchildren. However, in everyday speech the head of state uses a different style of communication.
According to the Kremlin representative, the president has a family and grandchildren, so manifestations of contemporary subculture could not pass him by. Nevertheless, one will not hear expressions characteristic of youth slang in Putin's working office.
"The president has a family, the president has grandchildren. And, of course, let's say, manifestations of contemporary subculture cannot pass him by," Peskov explained.
