The construction sector of Tatarstan is close to completing key projects in engineering and social infrastructure. As the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the republic, Damir Shaidullin, reported, six programs have already been fully implemented, and most of the others are in their final stages. Significant results have been achieved in the housing sector: 2.85 million sq. m. of housing have been commissioned, which is 87% of the annual plan. In the commercial segment, 75 apartment buildings with a total area of 607,000 sq. m. have been delivered; under the social mortgage program, 16 of the 35 planned buildings are ready — 125,000 sq. m. The volume of individual housing construction reached 2.12 million sq. m. Social programs are being implemented in parallel: contracts have been signed for 450 residential units for orphans, 57 of 69 young families have already received subsidies, and 10 of 27 large families have used housing certificates. Under the program for arranging land plots for large families, 58% of road works and 28% of water supply works have been completed.
