Vladimir Kozhevnikov, Honored Worker of the Press and Mass Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan, has died.
On September 5, at the age of 69, Vladimir Kozhevnikov, chairman of the Leninogorsk branch of the Union of Journalists of the Republic of Tatarstan and Honored Worker of the Press of Tatarstan, passed away.
A graduate of Kazan journalism, he developed Leninogorsk’s media sphere for more than 30 years, progressing from correspondent to founder of the publishing house "Yarmarka". The publications he created became an important communication platform for businesses and residents of the region.
Kozhevnikov was known for his social projects and charitable activities; he was a laureate of the "Civic Initiative" award and a winner of the "Crystal Pen" competition.
A memorial service will be held on September 7 at 12:00 on the territory of the hospital complex near the morgue. The funeral rite will take place at 13:00 in the chapel of the Kamyshlinsky cemetery in the city of Leninogorsk.
