The "Defenders of the Fatherland" Backgammon Cup successfully concluded in Astrakhan.
The large-scale competition brought together veterans of the special military operation, combat operations and military service from the southern regions of Russia, as well as from the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics and Crimea. Participants from Tatarstan, the Volgograd, Rostov and Astrakhan regions and Krasnodar Krai competed in the "long backgammon" discipline in both individual and team events. The tournament was organized by the Russian Backgammon Federation, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and the Ministry of Sport of the Astrakhan Region.
"For the first time a veteran from our city, Alexander Vysotsky, attended such a large-scale event. This is only the beginning. The Cup will definitely be won by us!" shared the foundation's social coordinator from Zainsk, Natalya Zinnurova.
