The gardeners of the Laishevsky District presented their best produce.

      The traditional annual "Gardener's Day" festival was held at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park.

      "Gardener's Day" and the garden and vegetable farming exhibition-festival "Bakcha" have been held in Kazan annually since 2018. This year, ten cities and districts of our republic presented their harvests on the fairground of the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park. In designing their displays, each district sought to stand out and show its own unique feature. Thus, the gardeners' exhibit from Naberezhnye Chelny was styled as a tram bound for the "Happiness" stop. Representatives of the Mendeleevsky District created a small pond with live fish. Several districts decorated their displays with vintage Soviet-era cars.

      The Laishevsky District exposition was located next to the main stage. The key element of the decoration was life-size puppets in national costumes. The exhibition was adorned with fruits and vegetables from the 2025 harvest, as well as honey, grapes and canned products. Russian and Tatar songs were sung for the park's guests, accompanied by spirited female accordionists.

      Guests of "Gardener's Day" included Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Gardeners of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilya Slesarsky, and Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Committee on Ecology, Nature Use, Agro-Industrial and Food Policy Nazip Khazipov. The tour for the honored guests was conducted by the head of the Executive Committee of Laishevsky District Azat Nurmukhametov and the head of the Department of Agriculture and Food of Laishevsky District Vitaly Germanov.

      "Today we honor people who love the land, who know how to work and who reap abundant harvests. Your work is serious work, requiring a great love for what you do. Gardeners, by their example, show how land can be used efficiently, how to grow environmentally clean products and provide families with healthy vitamins. In our republic, about a million people are engaged in gardening," noted Marat Azatovich.

      Among those awarded letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan was the chairman of the association of gardening non-commercial partnerships of Laishevsky District, Andrey Vasiliev.

      In our district, as across the entire republic, considerable work is being done to support gardening non-commercial partnerships. As Andrey Olegovich said, this year a road was built from SNT "Aeroport" to SNT "Vesna." Under the co-financing program, six new wells were drilled and six water towers were built. And since 2017, roads and power lines have been constructed in the SNTs of Laishevsky District, wells have been drilled, and containers and bunkers for waste collection have been installed. Financing is provided from the republican budget and through the co-financing program.

      "Gardener's Day" is not only an opportunity to buy fresh vegetables and fruits from Tatarstan producers, but also a rich cultural program. The chamber orchestra of the Kazan State Drama and Comedy Theater named after Karim Tinchurin, conducted by Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilyas Kamalov, performed on the main stage, as did artists of the Tatar pop scene. Throughout the day, master classes were held for visitors on drawing, candle making, creating jewelry boxes and decorating plant pots.
