      Preliminary findings indicate that she received a message about a win in a messenger app. The young woman did not verify the information and followed the instructions coming from an unknown number. It turned out that to receive the desired prize she needed to pay a “tax.” The woman transferred 15,000 rubles to a third-party account. However, after some time she discovered that the correspondence had disappeared. At present the question of opening a criminal case is being considered. Kazan police officers warn: if you receive a message about a win on your mobile phone, on social networks, or by email, be careful — it could be scammers! Never disclose your bank card details in correspondence and do not give confirmation codes for transactions or passwords for access to your bank account to strangers! Under no circumstances transfer money to people you do not know!
