What benefits are available to pensioners who continue to work?

      Retirees who continue to be formally employed can take advantage of a number of special benefits.

      Employed retirees are entitled to claim property-related tax deductions when purchasing or building housing.

      They are granted the opportunity to take unpaid leave at any convenient time without having to justify the reason. In the event of termination of employment, the retiree is not required to observe the mandatory two-week notice period before dismissal. Starting in 2025, pension payments for working retirees are subject to indexation. Their insurance benefits will increase in accordance with the approved increase coefficient. When a retiree decides to end their employment, their insurance pension will be recalculated taking into account all missed indexations for the period of employment up to that point. However, the increased amounts will not be paid immediately: the adjusted pension amount will be effective from the month following the month of leaving work.
