At the prosecutor’s request, the court imposed interim measures during the proceedings against the Khanuma hotel and café — suspending their activities. The establishments, located in the "Karetnikov House (first half of the 19th century)," are closed.
"When a historic building was used for business activities, numerous violations of fire safety regulations were identified, as well as non-compliance with the law on the protection of cultural heritage sites," the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Tatarstan reports.
Whether the namesake hotel and café will operate in this building in the future will be decided by the court. The trial is scheduled to begin in October 2025.
