      Currently, the Investigative Committee in Tatarstan is conducting a procedural check under the article on failure to fulfill duties in raising a child. The incident was filmed by an eyewitness in one of the republic’s kindergartens.

      Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin demanded a personal report on the high-profile incident that occurred at Nizhnekamsk Kindergarten No. 73. It concerns a caregiver beating one of the toddlers. An eyewitness recorded the incident on video: the footage shows a preschool employee striking the child with her hands for several minutes and also kicking him with her feet. After the shocking video was posted online, the prosecutor’s office demanded that the caregiver be dismissed, which was done immediately, reports KazanFirst. The investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Tatarstan, led by Valery Lipsky, are conducting a procedural check under the article “Failure to fulfill duties in the upbringing of a minor.” “In connection with this incident, the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in Tatarstan are conducting a procedural check under the article ‘Failure to fulfill duties in the upbringing of a minor,’” reads the statement from the Investigative Committee’s press service.

      Earlier it was reported that in Tatarstan they completed the search for the most famous fan of the hockey club Ak Bars and dentist Anton Agafonov after the tragic capsizing of a boat on the Volga. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan reported that as a result of the boat capsizing and flooding the man drowned: “The body of the deceased has not been found.” The total search area exceeded 160 hectares.
